Recently (March-August 2023), several homeowners in the Niagara Falls region were victimized by a renovation scam. The fraudster, Miguel Sarabando, owner of Central Ontario Contracting and Letesha's Boutique in Niagara Falls, approached them offering services related to driveway and pathway renovations. Upon receiving substantial deposits, Sarabando failed to provide the promised services. This isn't Sarabando's first scam. A 2015 news article1 reports similar fraudulent activities where he accepted money and did not complete any work. Furthermore, Sarabando has a history of not paying his workers, with one individual claiming Sarabando threatened him when seeking unpaid wages. In total, Sarabando has scammed several tens of thousands of dollars from various residents in the Niagara and Toronto regions. Following are the cities affected by the scam: Niagara Falls, Welland, St-Catharines, Hamilton, Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Etobicoke, Vaughan, North York & MORE.

This owner talks about scam artist when her own husband scammed me and several people out of money. Her husband has taken 20 thousand dollars from me and has yet to do the work. My neighbours are also left without the job been completed and are also out 18 thousand dollars This owner is the last to talk about scamming people when her own husband has scammed so many people.
