My wife found Eagerton Fencing, and we discussed and decided, after their estimate, to hire them.
When she (my wife) walked Beverly around our property to discuss what it was we wanted, she told me that Beverly was taking notes on all the things she explained.
We were extending our fence and wanted to make a 5' gate instead of the 4' we had so that the lawn guy would be able to use his larger zero turn on our yard. We were also getting a 4' tall aluminum fence installed in the backyard to section off the backyard for our dogs.
She specifically asked for the fence on the left side (when looking at the house) of the fence and is positioned in between the forward most window and all the solar equipment. We wanted one 5' gate on either side of the house for accessibility. On the right side of the house (again when looking at it) my wife specifically spoke with Omar and told him the gate on that side was to go up against the house due to us putting a walkway in from the back patio to the gate.
We encountered multiple problems. One was the fence was blocking some of the solar equipment, which Omar explained was merely a conduit, so I apologized and said the fence was fine there. On the other side of the fence, we still had the 4' gate there, which was ALSO our fault for NOT confirming with Beverly before the project started. In addition to that, Omar had taken it upon himself to move the gate to the center of the aluminum fence without speaking with us.
The project wound up being put off from Friday until today when I had called to speak with Beverly about the issues we had seen. In my conversation with her, I barely said a whole sentence before she interrupted me. After she was done, I tried to explain why I was calling again. She insisted on int a routing me at least 4 times before cutting me off totally and giving me Omar's number to speak with him about it.
I spoke with Omar, and everything I mentioned, he made excuses for. I asked if he knew if the fence was completely on our property because it looked as if it could be on the neighbors. He explained it was probably only 2 or 3" and shouldn't be an issue. I said I have no legal right to put anything on their property.
He then stated that this is why he needs a survey before starting a job. Beverly is the one who came to our house and did the estimate, and she NEVER asked for it. She specifically told my wife we di not need to be at the house and never mentioned anything. We found out the one side was, in fact, 4-6" on my neighbors property.
Omar did good work but deliberately moved things where we didn't want them.
Beverly tried to tell me I was unable to pay with a credit card due to her having to pay a 3.5% fee
