Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a group of rare genetic disorders that affect the body's connective tissues, causing symptoms such as hypermobility, joint pain, skin fragility, and cardiovascular complications.
Chiropractic care can be safe for patients with EDS, but it's important to work with a chiropractor who has experience treating patients with this condition. Patients with EDS may have more fragile skin and joint tissues, and may be more prone to dislocations or subluxations. Our skilled chiropractors will develop a personalized treatment plan that takes into account these unique needs and helps manage symptoms without exacerbating any underlying issues. We use Atlas Orthogonal, a low force technique with a gentle quality that is perfect for patients with this condition.
Chiropractic care is generally considered safe for patients with dystonia. We'll discuss any concerns or potential risks before beginning treatment. We will develop a personalized treatment plan to help manage your dystonia symptoms and monitor your progress over time. We use Atlas Orthogonal, a low force technique with a gentle quality that is perfect for patients with this condition.
Yes! Chiropractic care can help manage dystonia symptoms by addressing spinal misalignments or tension that may be contributing to the condition. By improving nervous system function, reducing inflammation, and enhancing overall well-being, chiropractic care can help reduce the severity and frequency of dystonic episodes.
Dystonia is a neurological condition that causes involuntary muscle contractions, leading to abnormal postures or movements.
Chiropractic care is generally considered safe for patients with POTS. However, it's important to discuss any concerns or potential risks with your chiropractor before beginning treatment. We use Atlas Orthogonal, a low force technique with a gentle quality that is perfect for patients with this condition.
Yes, we do! Chiropractic care can be an effective treatment option for managing POTS symptoms. By addressing areas of spinal tension or misalignment, chiropractic adjustments can help improve nervous system function, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall well-being.
In development, children may experience stomach issues, anxiety, phobias, motor skill difficulties, urinary incontinence, and sensory integration challenges. Chiropractic care can be beneficial for these children as it addresses the connection between the spine and the nervous system. Gentle manipulations by a chiropractor can help alleviate these symptoms and improve overall health.
Chiropractic care can be an effective solution for children who have trouble sleeping. It is both safe and effective, and can also have positive effects on other areas of their lives. Chiropractic adjustments can help balance hormone levels, which can play a role in a child's sleep quality.
Chiropractic care can have many benefits for children, even if they do not have any specific health issues. Regular visits to a qualified chiropractor can be an important aspect of maintaining overall health and development.
During the first trimester of pregnancy, many women typically schedule a chiropractic appointment once a month, with the frequency of visits increasing as the pregnancy progresses. However, every pregnancy is unique, and some women may require additional chiropractic treatments due to specific conditions.
Chiropractors who specialize in prenatal care are trained to use techniques such as stretching, pressure, and joint manipulation.
It is generally safe to begin chiropractic care during pregnancy after it has been confirmed and your obstetrician has given the go-ahead. Some individuals also seek chiropractic care while trying to conceive. If you experience any pain, consult your OB-GYN and schedule an appointment with your chiropractor.

No. Dr. Gomez and Dr. Liz will use your initial appointment to understand your individual needs for Chiropractic care. Please, be mindful that we'd like to discuss past and present health issues, injuries, or traumas, that may be associated with the symptoms you are feeling.
Yes. It is vital to keep your spine aligned throughout your pregnancy. This keeps you and your baby healthy for an optimal birth experience.
Yes! In our office, X-rays are vital. We will never do guesswork with our patients' spines. Atlas Orthogonal has specific X-Ray views that need to be taken to determine if and how Atlas is misaligned. We take every precaution to limit radiation exposure to the patient. Therefore, Dr. Gomez and Dr. Liz believe the risk is minimal to the accuracy of the misaligned Atlas. Pregnant women are an exception to our X-Ray rule. We will not be using Atlas Orthogonal until they can have X-Rays taken after giving birth; Until then, we will use our secondary low force Chiropractic Techniques after an initial Exam to keep Mom's spine in alignment throughout her pregnancy. This keeps Mom and baby healthy for an optimal birth experience. X-Rays are also on a case-by-case basis for children unless their Atlas misalignment is not correcting with the secondary techniques used. A consultation and exam are also given to each child regardless of X-Rays or age.
Atlas Orthogonal is a low-force technique that effectively improves your immune system and relieves pain and discomfort without using manual adjustments. Atlas is the first cervical (neck) bone, also known as C1. A misaligned Atlas can be the underlying cause of many headaches, vertigo, dizziness, neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, and it can even cause allergies.
Yes, Chiropractic care is essential for the whole family.
Dr. Lucy Gomez, DC, and Dr. Liz Kondracki, DC, are board-certified Atlas Orthogonalists, using Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic as their primary technique in treating your spinal misalignments. It is a very specific and gentle approach to adjusting the first bone in your neck, called Atlas. They utilize secondary adjusting techniques such as Activator, Drop Table Technique, Full Spine, Webster technique (for pregnant mothers), and Extremity adjusting.
