Mr. Alan Tenenhouse (Zabuloo Wood Works) was hired to do our bathroom not even 2 years ago. A complete bathroom Reno. Down to the studs….. so no way to blame it on something pre existent……
The pictures of our shower speak clearly: black mould that he did not properly clear, (he claimed he did) poor cocking, useless grouting that let the water through, very very poor tile work, holes locking through the bedroom wall that we had to insist several time to be repaired.
Thanks to this, now we have a leak from the shower showing up in our living room ceiling.
Mr. Alan Tenenhouse took NO responsibility for the incompetent work and blamed it on the tile guy that HE himself hired.
Now, if you call yourself a contractor, are you not responsible for who you hire and what they do?
Not according to Mr. Tenenhouse: he just pocketed the money (over 12.000 dollars) and washed his hands of any responsibility, leaving us with more bills to pay to rectify a job that he took on without having the competency to carry it out properly.
The first time we complained after mould was showing up, over a year ago, he sent a text saying there was no mould: I let the pictures speak for themselves and went on saying that he hired the wrong guy.
When we called him recently saying that the ceiling was now leaking, he once again blamed who HE himself hired, said that he knew that the guy did a bad job, then asked to come and look at it. No, thank you: enough damage done, Now we have to redo the bathroom and fix the ceiling on the main floor: the water eventually made it through the never properly grouted tiles and the failing cocking.
Mr. Alan, Tenenhouse and Zabuloo Wood’s decision to take work that was obviously outside of his own scope of practice left us holding g the responsibility now to fix and pay a professional to the job.
