Reef Builders is a full-service design/build and remodeling firm specializing in high quality residential and commercial construction in the Phoenix Valley. Our focus is to make remodeling a gratifying experience for the owner that not only meets, but exceeds expectations. This is done through artistic design, financial value, quality craftsmanship, thoughtful and effective communication, and finally good old fashioned customer service.

We are graduates of Arizona State University and are proud to live locally and be active members in our communities. Below are summaries of the ownership team that we encourage you to read.

Brandan J. Millan – Native Arizonan, Brandan Millan is the owner and co-founder of Tempe, AZ based Reef Builders. Over the past seven years Brandan co-owned and operated one of the valleys top natural stone counter top fabrication and flooring company as well as being part owner of another well-known valley general contracting company.

Millan has been a project manager on over 3 million dollars of commercial and residential counter tops, over 1 million in construction flooring jobs, and also been the project manager on over 2 million dollars of general construction projects. Millan has also been rehabbing and selling distressed properties around the valley over the past few years. His goal is to provide a turn-key high quality complete home remodel, while adding value back to the local neighborhood.

Brandan's first trade was as an automotive painter, something he started learning at 13 when he would spend summers working as a painter’s helper for his father. This is where his eye for detail and quality started. His enthusiasm for construction started while he assisted his father and uncles with home additions, roofing projects, and also building the families cabin in Strawberry, Arizona.

Millan resides in the East Valley and enjoys staying active and spending time with his family. He has completed several marathons as well as over 10 triathlons. He is a NASA Drug Free Power lifting National Champion and wrestled at the collegiate level. Millan strongly believes in giving back to his community. He has been a volunteer for the Valley Big Brother Big Sister Program, The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and has also coached youth wrestling for many years. Graduating cum laude from ASU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, he applies his education in the day-to-day construction operations by stream lining processes within the industry. Millan has also served honorably in Army and Naval Reserves after graduating from college.

Timothy Russo – For the past 12 years Tim has run all construction operations for Russo and Russo Remodeling, a company that he started with his father. Tim has actively performed work on and managed over 7 million in construction remodel and design/build projects. He has held KB-2 General Contractors License since 2003 and is also great standing with the BBB and an A+ rating.

Tim's construction career started when he was 11 years old where he worked with his father on every type of construction project. Tim’s family knew he had a knack for construction when he asked his mom to drive him to the hardware store to purchase materials to drywall his bedroom walls, which were built from adobe, so he could hang his newly acquired posters. When his father came home to see the work he decided his son really was a natural. Tim truly has the experience and ability to build a home from the ground up, build home additions, or completely do complete home remodels. Tim is a very hands-on owner, if we let him, he would personally labor on every portion of a project.

Tim is a native Arizonan and lives with his wife, two children, and their small poodle. His hobbies include camping, fishing and playing poker. Tim has spent several years coaching Little League Baseball, Youth Tackle Football and youth wrestling for his two boys. After graduating from Camelback High School Tim attended Phoenix College, and then received a Bachelor of Science in Management at ASU.
