The interior of the bustling bistro is adorned with portraits of African American history and memorabilia. Since opening in 1997 Beans & Cornbread has expanded with two exciting new additions - sidebar wine & martini bar and Red Velvet Room. sidebar wine & martini bar is Metro Detroit's true upscale neighborhood bar. The intimate space with its sleek wood interior and copper bar offers a great wine list and an eclectic selection of signature martinis. sidebar is a great place to meet friends to enjoy the sounds of live music and happy hour specials. The best part is there's never a cover charge. The Red Velvet room is a luxurious VIP suite with comfy red couches, leopard print club chairs and red leather ottomans. Its private entrance, state-of-the-art AV system and exceptional service make it the perfect venue for private parties and meetings for up to 50 guests.
