Life Celebrations

Life is full of transitions! The big ones…. birth, marriage, children, and return to the world of Spirit…are what Life Celebrations is all about. I was ordained as a Presbyterian clergyman more than 50 years ago and have been a college chaplain, a hospice chaplain, and have served four churches as their interim pastor. I was also on the staff of Esalen Institute in Big Sur for 20 years, serving for 7 of those years as the General Manager. My life’s journey has moved me from a small farming town in Western New York to the central coast of California, and from being a conservative Christian, to embracing the truth found in all religions. My spiritual journey has opened my mind and heart to gay and straight, to people of faith and to those who claim no spiritual path. My religion now is Love! It’s as simple and as difficult as that! And my calling is to be the Pastor for those who have no Pastor. I officiate weddings, bless children, create vow renewal ceremonies and officiate memorial services as I continue to deepen my understanding of the meaning of life through all of its many transitions. If you are in a time of transition in your life and are looking to celebrate it, affirm it, learn from it and grow through it, I’d love to talk with you. I enjoy doing premarital counseling, and recommend it, but do not require it for those who wish to use my services.
